In February 2025, I challenged myself to make a social media spec ad every day and then post them on Instagram. It was really hard to juggle school and my job with this challenge, so the quality of the ads varies wildly: Some days were just a bad meme video promoting a product that I made in 10 minutes.

But some days, the videos actually turned out really cool. I learned a lot from pushing myself a little bit outside my comfort zone — it turns out you don't need to do months of pre-production for every shoot because you can make a great video in just a couple of hours. I will bring the challenge back at some point: it was genuinely too fun to not do again in the future.
